Configure QoS Settings

First configure Configure Port Details.

Tip

These settings appear in the QoS section of the Summary tab.

Use this task to configure custom QoS settings for a new port, on the QoS tab.

  1. To customize the QoS settings, toggle Use Custom QoS Settings to ON.
    If you toggle the setting OFF, go to Step .
  2. Configure the Quality of Service (QoS) Settings.

    QoS Traffic Class
    Trusted Traffic Source
    1. Select this option to map all incoming traffic into the Extreme Networks classification system.
    2. Then select a marker: DSCP (Diffserve Codepoint) or 802.1p from the list.
    Untrusted Traffic Source
    1. Select this option to map all incoming traffic into the Extreme Networks classification system.
    2. Then select a classification system from the list.
    Traffic Marking
    1. Select Mark the outgoing traffic with priority markers, to map Extreme Networks QoS classes to priority markers and mark outgoing traffic using.
    2. Then select a marker: DSCP (Diffserve Codepoint) or 802.1p from the list.
    3. Select For unmarked incoming traffic, use Extreme Networks class, and then select an Extreme Networks class from the list.
  3. Select NEXT, or select the Transmission Settings tab, and continue configuring the port.
